Via the internet all relevant patient data (comorbidities, previous operations, staging, specific surgical technique, medical devices used, perioperative complications and follow-up data) can be documented free of charge. The participants can query their own data any time by statistical data analysis. The transsectoral study of quality assurance refers to inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, incisional hernias, epigastric hernias, parastomal hernias and hiatal hernias.
